Crufty testCA: policy

This page outlines the policies of our testCA. You can see the policy for our real CA here.

The certificates issued by this CA have zero value and should only be used for the purpose of testing that your SSL implementation is setup correctly.

Signing

The form that you fill in to request a certificate, gathers information that we will use to validate your request. We will simply ignore any requests with obvious inconsistencies such as a host certificate requested from an unrelated network, or to be e-mailed to an unrelated user.

Unfortunately our Secure Certificate Request Form is very popular with the result that we also ignore requests if we simply do not have the time to cross-check and sign them.
